On July 29th, we held our 2nd Annual Open House.  What a great turnout!  It was the perfect day to enjoy the outdoors and learn all about bees and honey.  Our glass frame gave guests the opportunity to get up-close and personal with the bees.  Can you spot the Queen?  Thanks to everyone for making this another successful afternoon!

It’s Going To Be One Sweet Season!

As far as weather goes, it hasn’t been the best summer. However, with all that rain comes an abundance of flowers, and what do the bees need to make all that sweet stuff…nectar from those flowers! The hives are strong this summer and we have already had to extract honey the past few weekends. The honey is a beautiful golden colour this year from our apple blossoms, bass wood, black locus, white clover, red clover and golden rod.
